Welcome to SmithersCast (smitherscast.com) and the Fantasy HLL game. By using this site or signing in to play Fantasy HLL, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
SmithersCast is an independent, fan-run project covering community and competitive Hell Let Loose matches. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Team17, Expression Games, or any official Hell Let Loose rights holder. All game names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. The site is provided for entertainment purposes.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the site, and old enough to hold the membership or subscription you sign in with. Anyone can browse the site and build a practice lineup for free; submitting a lineup in Fantasy HLL requires an active membership or subscription (below).
Submitting lineups is a perk for supporters. You can unlock it by being any of the following and signing in:
• an active YouTube channel member of SmithersCast (any tier);
• an active Twitch subscriber to SmithersCast; or
• an active Buy Me a Coffee member.
All payments and billing for those memberships/subscriptions are handled entirely by those third-party platforms (YouTube, Twitch, Buy Me a Coffee) under their terms — SmithersCast does not process, charge, or store your payment information. We only check whether your account is an active member/subscriber in order to grant access. If your membership lapses, access to submit lineups ends.
Fantasy HLL is a no-prize game of skill for entertainment and bragging rights. Browsing and building practice lineups are free; submitting a lineup is a supporter feature. You draft real players from a live match, and your lineup earns points based on those players' real, publicly observed in-game performance. It is not a lottery, sweepstakes, or real-money wagering of any kind — your membership is support for the channel, not an entry fee, and a paid membership does not buy you points, wins, or any advantage. There are currently no prizes, giveaways, or rewards. If any are ever offered, they will be governed by their own complete Official Rules (including a free, no-purchase method of entry) published and legally reviewed beforehand — see the Fantasy HLL Rules & Fair Play page.
Scores, projections, leaderboards, Head-to-Head results, and league standings are provided as-is and may contain errors, omissions, or delays. We may adjust scoring rules, correct mistakes, reset contests, or change or remove features at any time. SmithersCast's scoring decisions are final.
When using the site you agree not to: abuse, harass, or impersonate others; attempt to cheat, manipulate scoring, or create multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage; access the site through bots, scrapers, or automated means except where we provide an API; or attempt to disrupt, overload, or breach the security of the service. We may suspend or remove access for conduct that breaks these rules.
When you sign in we receive a minimal amount of information from your chosen platform — such as your account/ channel ID, display name, and (for Buy Me a Coffee) the email you verify — used only to confirm membership and run the game. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy. We don't sell your data or run ads.
Because memberships and subscriptions are purchased and billed through YouTube, Twitch, or Buy Me a Coffee, cancellations and refunds are handled by those platforms under their policies — not by SmithersCast. Manage or cancel a membership directly on the platform you joined through.
The site and the game are provided "as-is" and "as-available," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SmithersCast is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, the game, or any third-party service linked from it. Your use of third-party services (Twitch, YouTube, Buy Me a Coffee, Discord, etc.) is governed by their own terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
